Attention young people!

There is a stigma that Wills are something to think about creating later in life, but this is not the case. Everyone should have a Will no matter how big or small their estate.

Do you have children under the age of eighteen? You can appoint a guardian in your Will to take care of your children if you were no longer alive. If you don’t have a Will, the courts will choose someone for you, and this may not reflect your wishes! We would always advise you write a letter to the person you wish to appoint as a guardian, outlining your wishes of how you would like your child to be looked after. It is also advisable to appoint a reserve guardian, in the event your first choice was unable to take on the responsibility.

Do you love your pets? You can include instructions in a Will in relation to who you would like to look after your pets and even leave a sum of money for their future needs.

Do you want to keep your digital presence secure? In a Will you can appoint someone to manage or close your social media accounts and control what happens to your online identity.

You are not just paying for a document, you are paying for peace of mind, certainty and advice tailored specifically to your circumstances. Get in touch with our team at Owen Kenny today on 01243 532777 or email info@owenkenny.co.uk with your enquiry.
